MOSHI Street Philosophy at MARCH FOR OUR LIVES in NYC

  • USS maine monument Columbus Circle New York, NY United States (map)

“Street philosophy alleviates social anxiety for students participating in March For Our Lives in New York City.”

On Saturday, March 24th, near the USS Maine Monument at Columbus Circle, MOSHI will run free public debates where students will have the opportunity to discuss the notions of society, peace, law and life. In the manner of Socrates and the ‘marketplace of ideas’, philosophy will return to its natural environment: the street. This day of free public debates will give students an opportunity to speak truth to power, confront other points of view, and create protest signs inspired by their own ideas.

Program 10am-3pm
10am: “What is society?”
11am: “What is peace?”
12am: “What is law?”
1pm: “What is life?”
